New Features in 20w16a

Bastion remains added - Added portals ruined and chain blocks. A brand new music disc titled "Pigstep" by Lena Raine, which can only be found in bastions

- Added 4 separate bastion remnant types that include bridges, Hoglin stable, housing units, and treasure room - There are these massive structures in all biomes in the Nether except the ash-dusted towers that are a danger to basalt deltas. Explore, collect, and conquer the remnants of a bastion to make it your home... But beware, the Piglins aren't the kindly of intruders who steal their possessions

Ruined Portals

They can be found in any overworld or netherworld. Some are hidden beneath the sea, others in the sand.

Changes in 20w16a

- Increased the number of pools of lava to make deltas more "deltary". The Piglin banner design can be seen at bastions

Technical Changes in 20w16a

- Added a button to the GUI that generates the jigsaw structure using the jigsaw blocks based on a specified depth of generation. The maximum size for each axis for Structure Blocks from 32 to 48. Added JMX MBean for monitoring dedicated servers tick times

JMX Monitoring

It is now possible to monitor server tick times though JMX. JMX is a well-known and supported monitoring technology that comes with tools and integrations.

This allows server admins to hook up alerts and graphing tools with regular JMX clients or dashboards.

- A new flag enable-jmx-monitoring has been added to the server.properties file which if set to true will expose an MBean with the Object name net.minecraft.server:type=Server and two attributes averageTickTime and tickTimes exposing the tick times in milliseconds. You will need to add JVM flags to your startup to enable JMX on Java runtime.
